Call it what you will. I call it beanie weenies. An upscale version accompanied by a ridiculously healthy arugula, tomato salad with shallot vinaigrette. Yes I "blackened" my dogs like that on purpose, because that's the way I like it.
Not really a recipe
Schwartz Swiss Brand Bockwurst "blackened"
Trader Joe's Organic Baked Beans fortified with Bull's Eye BBQ Sauce and Tapatio Hot Sauce

I'd call it Beanie Weenie, too.
Yeah we agree. In doing research I find there is canned product ready to heat with a similar name.Yuch!
Upscale in my book.
Chilebrown- Must be something in the water over here in Marin :)
I just decided to make that meal for myself. They have Schwartz sausages at Scottie's. Made my tummy growl.
I would not call it beanie weenies, because when I was little, my mom made beanie weenies by slicing hot dogs directly into the beans. So that's what it means to me. This is so grown-up, it deserves an adult name like Beans and Franks.
cookiecrumb-That is what April did for the kids and they loved it. How about American Cassoulet? ;)
Give it a pedigree.
Very good!
Greg, did you get anywhere with photo editing filters? What have you liked?
