National Burger Month

We couldn't let national burger month go buy with trying out a new burger. Inspired by the flavors of French Onion Soup we concocted this most beautiful burger. Gruyere Cheese, slow cooked onions and tomato/garlic confit crown a grilled ground chuck burger. It tastes even better than it looks!

Oh, baby! How did you make the tomato-garlic confit? I'd love to have the recipe... hint, hint.

Chilebrown- Thanks! C and H just kind of rose up out of the haze. I love the bay.
Zoomie- I took about two dozen halved cherry toms and put them in a Pyrex dish. I added three sliced garlic cloves and put olive oil about half way up the toms. Baked in oven at 275 until "done." I think it was about forty minutes. The toms start to melt a bit. Cool and store in jar in fridge. A great sub for not so ripe toms this time of year. They are great on sandwiches too, with a drizzle of the tomato/garlic scented oil.
