Holiday Cheer

We have a habit of staying home on New Year's Eve. Safe from all the amateurs out on the road, we enjoy dinner and cocktails and each other's company. On New Year's day a brunch with bloody Marys and football. Having worked in the hospitality industry for years, it is wonderful to have quality time with family.
My special cocktail for New Year's Eve was Korbel Blanc De Noirs, enhanced with a splash of triple sec and some frozen berries. For New Year's brunch, I made Bloody Marys in the salad style. It looks almost healthy!

Happy New Year to you and yours.
I just had a salad Bloody Mary! I must have been starving; I devoured it.

I love that you have figured out a vegan drinks to ease Cookiecrumb and Cranky through their experiment. Happy New Year! We try to stay home, too, but this year we beat ourselves to our knees clearing out our "attic," and decided at the last minute to risk a quick trip to a favorite local restaurant so we could have someone else cook for us. It was the right choice to make!
