Will Work for Wine

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Today I'm going to risk turning my blog into a photo blog. In my last post I reported on our visit to Sonoma Wine Country. Today's post will actually include wine. After Healdsburg we headed north to the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville. On future trips I would devote the entire day to the winery-park. It really is a magnificent destination. Wine, food, swimming pool, bocce ball, live music, shopping and movie memorabilia all in one beautiful location. Let the photos begin!

We had lunch in Rustic Restaurant. April had Bumbola con broccoli e salsiccia. A bumble bee shaped pasta with broccolini and sausage mixed with a scrumptious sauce. I had the Sofia pizza. A perfectly dressed arugula salad and shaved Parmesan over a thin crust prosciutto pizza, yummy! For our wine we drank the crisp, fruity Reserve Viognier.

What a place! I could get used to this.

Did you swim? I think that's a brilliant idea as it's always hot where wine grows!

Zoomie- No swimming this time. It was a spontaneous idea so no swimsuits. I could envision a runaway weekend. The Geyserville Inn is just down the street.
