I wanted breakfast and she wanted lunch. Why compromise when you can have both? Most local diners can accommodate this request. Recently we hit a local joint that has been reincarnated a number of times since it was originally a Denny's. It's not even fair to compare because this place is much more upscale. I catered to my cheapskate tendencies by having the special breakfast (available until 10:30), four bacon, two eggs, hash browns and toast ($4.99.) April had large delicious burger with hand cut fries ($6.95.). Good food and service without compromise.
