A combination of factors have been keeping me close to home lately. I finally forced myself to get out of the house and observe. Is it me or is everyone hiding? A couple of restaurants I checked out at lunch time were almost empty. I feel bad for the restaurant owners but can understand customers' reluctance to spend.
Last Thursday a visit to the Marin Farmer's Market yielded some sweet/ tart Meyer Lemons and Blood Oranges. The market was not as crowded as normal. A threatening rain storm might have been a factor.
Of course I had to have lunch. I grabbed an Aidell's whiskey fennel sausage topped with spicy mustard and sauerkraut. It was so good but my sweet tooth called when I spotted the Waffle Mania Truck. The powdered sugar got all over my jacket but did not spoil waffle's tastiness.
Today's breakfast observation: Who says you can't have vegetables for breakfast!
