Like a Kid in a Candy Shop

What a wonderful Sunday I had. I was lucky enough to score an invite to the food bloggers picnic. It was great to see bloggers that I had met before. Connecting new faces with blogs I had read or will read was an adventure. The people, place and food were marvelous. Food and beverage was plentiful and tasty. It was almost a sensory overload. A park setting full of talented people who all like the same things I do. Hot Damn! So many bloggers, so little time. I really wanted to spend a day with each person there. That would take the better part of several months. I'll just have to savor the short time I had.
Thanks to the hosts and people who put the shindig together. That's a hard job and was appreciated.
I had intention of placing video on my site but was unhappy with the results. So I humbly submit photos of the dishes I brought to the picnic. There was more cameras on property than at White House photo opportunity. In the best sense life was truly a picnic Sunday.

Greg your pasta salad was SO GOOD! I loved it. Great party but hard to get a chance to really catch up because there were just so many people this time.

greg - I was wondering who made that beautiful spread of grilled vegetables. the criss cross patterns on the potatoes are perfect. It was great to meet you and your family, although I know what you mean about needing a day to spend with each person. the afternoon just flew by and even though I tried to meet everyone I ended up missing a few people out, even. I am glad you were not one of them.

Greg - it was really great to meet you and I confess I liked the veggies more than the pasta salad. they were fantastic.

I'm trying to organize an event like that in the city. Not sure where to even begin with picking a date and a place for all of us to meet up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) And of course, if you're coming to the Big Apple any time soon we'd love to have you Greg. It must be fun putting faces with the blogs!

Yoo-hoo! Marin guy! Ever so great to meet you. You were more than I expected, and your wife is a grand gal. I hope your daughter wasn't *too* bored.
I will keep an eye out for you from now on at the markets.

Amy - Thanks it was a pleasure
Sam - I was a little over obsessive with the potatoes. But why not? Be well.
Owen - I'll trade you grilled bread for grilled veg. Loved your house. I now hane stove envy.
Mona- thanks for the invite. I got to enjoy the hard work of those who set the picnic up.
Cookiecrumb-I too will look for you.
Till we meet again thanks all!!
