Sandwich Family

It was the second game of the World Series and I was about ready to order a pizza for dinner. My wife Avril had a different vision.She was going to make a special sandwich. It is no wonder we love sandwiches.
As a family with two working parents and four active children we ate lots of sandwiches. My youngest daughter is a legendary sandwich maker and was called "the sandwich queen" long before Food Network's Jeff Mauro became Sandwich King. She would turn most any dinner into a sandwich by piling the ingredients on bread. This night it was Avril's night at the sandwich plate. Here is the ingredient list.

 La Brea torta rolls from Costco
Trader Joe's breaded chicken tenders
Tillamook sharp cheddar
Best Foods Mayo
Frank's Hot sauce
Thinly sliced white onion
Home grown ripe tomato

The result was a home run in the house. My daughter the sandwich queen said "mom this sandwich means business!" It was named the Gigantes World Series Chicken Sandwich.
