The city of Victoria is absolutely beautiful! The clean streets and friendly people dazzled us. On two occasions people stopped and asked if we needed directions. I think I saved a bunch of money because most of the stores opened later. Avril fell in love with some shoes in the window of She-She shoes that would have felt right at home in her shoe collection. We made the most of the day with lots of colorful photo ops. The garden at the Empress hotel was magnificent as was the view of the harbor. I think this would be a great place to visit in the future for a much longer time.

Zoomie- It was beautiful in May. There was so much to see and so little time.
cookiecrumb- Both! She loves color. Admittedly these are more beautiful than practical and way out of our pay grade.
I went to Victoria in the 70's as a young man and it was fun. I remember that there were a lot of strip clubs right off the tourist area. There was one women named Dawn that did the most amazing.... Maybe those are memories that I will share with you sometime.
