Instead of Sunday Brunch we tried what we call Sunday Dinch. We combined lunch and dinner time and decided to try out
Hopmonk Tavern in Novato. Being a non-beer drinker is not a handicap here. There is nice wine list and a full bar. From the "shared plates" section Avril ordered beer-batter Japanese squid tossed w/ leeks, lemons & limes served with house aioli. I ordered the mini 4oz angus burgers with tomato chutney, lemon aioli, shallots and white cheddar. The term mini is a misnomer, at four ounces each these are filling sandwiches. We each had a glass of sauvignon blanc, listened to live music and left happy and full.
