My wife and I were in the city today for family business and wanted to stretch our legs and get some exercise. We decided to explore the Presidio. What used to be Letterman Hospital now is home to the Lucas Empire. If I had to pick one word to describe the transformation of the buildings and grounds it would be 'incredible.'
The weather was beautiful and we spent a good hour wandering around admiring the landscape. Armed with my trusty Nikon, I took picture after picture of the flowers in bloom.
It was just about lunch time when we stumbled across Pres a Vi. We timidly snuck in and asked to see a menu, knowing full well restaurants in San Francisco can set you back a paycheck. To our pleasant surprise prices were reasonable. The hostess ushered us into the club like dining room. We watched as plate after plate of great looking food passed by; each time wondering if we had made the correct choice. We did! What a fabulous experience.
Bread basket and butter dish
My breakfast
Chicken Arugula sandwich with winter squash salad.
After a great meal with great service we were on out way out when we discovered that the Forty Niners were on T.V. so we decided to have one for the road. Superb Bloody Mary, bad finish to the football game.
