The Wintertime Blues

Who says there ain’t no cure for the winter time blues? I just noticed that I haven’t been blogging as much as I like. This time of year days seem to fly by. I just want to hibernate in a warm place and sleep. We are spoiled in Northern California. When the temperature drops into the upper thirties we whine that we are so cold. Tell that to a poor soul in Illinois. He would say that’s springtime weather fool! Listen up people, it’s California Wine not California Whine.

Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest I’ll share with you some photos from our family’s thanksgiving meal. I had to work so I can’t take any credit for anything but the photos. My lovely wife and kids put on the Ritz and laid down a beautiful feast. My cure for the blues is simply …Eat your body weight in food every week. Enjoy it now for in January it’s celery sticks and tap water for you baby.

Turkey with andouille sausage and cranberry stuffing
Yes this looks flat because my wife partially deboned it

Acorn squash rings

Green beans with bacon vinaigrette

Spiral cut ham and a big bowl of gravy

Looking at these photos has got me thinking about my next meal. I’ll just head out to the kitchen so I don’t get the blues.

Don't be blue! At least it isn't raining like crazy and taking out power lines like it is in Oregon...

Hope you're finding some good stuff out there.

Looks fabulous Greg. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was a little behind in posting T'giving dinner. I was still planning on posting pix myself. Those green beans look great. Our feasts are pretty similar, except my family is not as creative as yours with those squash rings! WOWSAS!
Can you believe Christmas is next Monday? AAH!
